B’gosh and B’gorra! It’s that time of year when everyone is a little bit Irish and Downtown Racine is getting ready to celebrate.
The Downtown Racine Corporation is seeking entries for the fourth annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will be held on Saturday, March 13.
For the past three years, Racine has been filled with merriment as the St. Patrick’s Day parade wound its way through Downtown. There was Irish and Celtic music, troubadours, leprechauns, a pipe band, floats, Irish dancers, Irish wolfhounds and more. The parade drew thousands of people of all ages to enjoy the festivities. Local organizations, businesses and clubs are encouraged to participate. There is no cost to be in the parade.
Applications are available at the DRC office, 425 Main St., or can be downloaded. Applications should be returned to the DRC by Friday, Feb. 26.

I'm surprised we haven't heard from the downtown haters about this fun and free event for everyone!
Ha! I love the St Patty's Day parade in Racine!
I'm sure Mr. Angry will be there - NOT!
Dear 9:48 AM, They won't attack it because there's nothing to attack. Unlike Christmas (which is heavily commercialized and popular with the Christian Right), St. Patrick's Day in Racine is about FUN!
11:09 - Mr. Angry does not believe in fun. He wants everyone to be as depressed as he is - futhermore he'd never step downtown to one of the events because they are for richie poos and waxi's. Blah, blah, blah
"Christmas (which is heavily commercialized and popular with the Christian Right)"
Ouch! Should I say that St. Patrick's Day is heavily commercialized and popular with the Drunken Left?
