Camera club offers two instruction sessions

Tips for shooting winter scenes will be presented by Jason Madson at the next regular meeting of the Racine Camera Club on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. Winter weather, cold temperatures and extreme lighting conditions all present special challenges for photographers. This program will help prepare attendees for the camera club's upcoming winter outing. (Plans for the outing are in the works. Go to the Camera Club's website for date/time/location TBD.)

Camera club members will also host an educational forum on digital photo editing on Feb. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. The presenter will demonstrate creative options using Adobe Elements, the less expensive version of Photoshop. Bring your laptops and digital photos on a jump drive to practice various techniques. Experienced photo editors are encouraged to share their secrets.

Both meetings will be held at the Racine Arts Council, 316 Sixth St. Anyone interested in learning how to improve their photographs is welcome.
