Pink Paddling Power team hosts wine tasting party

The Pink Paddling Power breast cancer survivors' Dragon Boat team from Racine will host Positively Pink, a wine-tasting party.

The party will be held at Uncorkt, 240 Main St., on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, free appetizers and eight wines or beers to sample. Tickets are $20; available at Uncorkt or by calling 262-687-5065.

Pink Paddling Power racers are members of the Racine Dragon Boat Club, and have represented the city in Welland, Ontario, Canada; Windsor, Canada; and London, Canada; as well as in Oshkosh and the Racine Dragon Boat races here since 2006.

The team supports itself through fundraisings; proceeds from a recent bake sale went to The Pink Ribbon Hope Fund at Wheaton Fransican All Saints Hospital.
