During the Racine Zoo's Safari Saturday this week, children brought to the zoo on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will receive a free flag with admission. Children can also decorate a star-shaped sugar cookie provided by O & H Bakery with red, white, and blue frosting at the Jungle Junction party pavilion.
“Cookie decorating is something fun and easy that children of all ages can do. Plus, waving a flag is something kids love to do to show their pride in our country, ” said Megan Frazer, Zoo marketing manager.
Future Safari Saturdays in July will have face painting and story hour with an animal.
