Risk management conference for volunteers

Randi Wind Milsap, State Legal Counsel to the Adjutant General Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs and the Wisconsin Homeland Security Council, will be the keynote speaker at a conference for managers of volunteers on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the University of Phoenix in Brookfield.

Milsap’s presentation will focus on risk management; she will also present a workshop on the subject. Other workshops will focus on “Using Your Website to Recruit Volunteers” and “Transforming Stress in the Workplace: Mindfulness Meditation.”

The conference is sponsored by the Association for Volunteer Administration of Southeastern Wisconsin and the Interagency Council on Volunteerism. The cost is $30 for AVA/SEW and IACV members and $40 for nonmembers; lunch is included. Sept. 8 is the deadline for registration.
