A collaboration of photographic images by members of the Racine Camera Club (RCC) will be on display at JavaVino, 424 Main Street, during August. The exhibit will include a varied array of framed artwork, many for sale. The opening reception will be held Friday, August 8, at 7 p.m. Come meet the photographers and learn more about Racine's camera club.
Live music will start at 8 p.m. Keith Hampton, a classically trained musician, brings his diverse influences to the art of acoustic guitar-based songwriting to create moods and tell stories filled with the passion of life's challenges and successes. Keith is currently participating in an online documentary at YouTube, titled "Musecast," which can be seen weekdays .
Originally from Madison, Keith spent many years in Boston where He has opened shows for Cosy Sheridan, Rachel McCartney and Deb Pasternak. He is currently working for Racine Symphony Orchestra and owns Brave Records, an independent music distributor.
The RCC meets at the Racine Arts Council building, 505 6th Street, at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month from September through May. The RCC welcomes photographers of all ages (from beginners to professionals), and offers educational programs, field trips, and photo competitions to encourage and inspire members to develop their photographic knowledge.
