Tutors are needed to work with adults who want to learn English or improve their basic literacy skills in the Racine Literacy Council’s Adult Tutoring Program in Racine County. Volunteers do not need to have had teaching experience or know a language other than English. Tutoring opportunities are available throughout Racine County. Tutors meet their learners two hours per week.
A series of informational meetings to explain the process will be held as follows:
Wednesday, August 13, 12 -1 p.m. at the Racine Literacy Council, 734 Lake Ave.
Wednesday, August 13, 4 – 5 p.m. at the Graham Library in Union Grove.
Wednesday, August 13, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Burlington Library.
Wednesday, August 13, 7 – 8 p.m. at the Waterford Library.
Thursday, August 14, 5:30 -6:30 p.m. at the Racine Literacy Council
Tuesday, August 19, 6 -7 p.m. at the Racine Literacy Council.
