The Dairyland Theatre Organ Society will present a free concert Aug. 17 on the Wurlitzer Pipe Organ that formerly resided in the Racine Capitol Theatre.
Yes, that 80-year-old pipe organ still exists. It's the "hidden secret" of the Racine Theatre Guild, where it has resided for 26 years.
On Sunday, Aug. 17, from 2 to 4 p..m., the Dairyland Theatre Organ Society will present a "Music and Memories" concert, with recording artist Jelani Eddington and Milwaukee Brewers organist Dean Rosko.
They will demonstrate the Wurlitzer, display society publications, offer information about upcoming activities and provide free refreshments.
The event will take place at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave.
An earlier story we wrote about the organ, with photos of it, is HERE.
