The Downtown Racine Corporation will host a ribbon cutting ceremony, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, to mark the grand opening of Uncorkt at its new location, 240 Main St. The public is invited to a day of special activities.
Uncorkt offers weekly wine events, gifts for wine lovers, stemware, gift baskets, microbrews and a large selection of wine. Owned by Sherry and Tim Etes, Uncorkt opened on Sixth Street in 2004. Now, they have relocated to larger quarters on Main Street.
Their new location has a larger wine tasting bar and lounge area as well as a larger upstairs banquet facility. Following the ribbon cutting, guests will be served complimentary Mimosas and Sangria. From noon to 2 p.m., a complimentary tasting of new wines from Purple Feet will be held. From 3-5 p.m. guests can buy one, get one free – wines by the glass. Throughout the day there will be merchandise specials and door prizes.
