Careers Industries to exhibit at Starving Artist Fair

Careers Industries’ Integrated Day Services participants will have a booth at the Starving Artist Fair on Sunday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in East Park, 1001 S. Main St., in front of Gateway Technical College.

For sale will be paintings, hand painted silk scarves, botanical plates, plus green items such as pop top bracelets and necklaces, recycled bowls, and canvas grocery bags.

IDS has a thriving art program with participants displaying their work at various art fairs and other outlets throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

Careers Industries enriches the lives of people with disabilities through work, care, and community. It has facilities at 3502 Douglas Ave. in Racine and 161 Industrial Dr. in Burlington.

Just got back from there. Whew... prices were much higher this year. Was the same old, same old stuff, much of the same stuff I saw last year... but the prices were up. Must be the gas to drag it from show to show. I was disappointed.
