“Micros on the Monument” -- a vintage micro car show -- will be held at Monument Square on Saturday, July 26.
Micros on the Monument will feature an assortment of unique micro cars from the '50s and '60s, some restored to their original factory condition. A micro car is a three- or four- wheeled car with an engine size of under 700cc, manufactured in the 1950s and 1960s. Some of the micro cars that will be on display include Isetta, Messerschmitt (photo above), Zundapp Janus, Berkley and more.Micros on the Monument will present a People’s Choice Award for the most popular micro car on display. Everyone will be invited to vote for their favorite small car at this big event.
Space remains for micro car enthusiasts who wish to display their vehicles. Anyone interested in participating in this event can obtain a registration form online. There is no registration fee; however everyone must be pre-registered prior to the show.
Micros on the Monument will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 26. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
