Red, White and Brew wine and beer tasting,and silent auction, to benefit The Arc of Racine

Red, White and Brew 2008, a wine and beer tasting and silent auction, will be held Friday, June 13, to benefit The Arc of Racine.

The event will be held at the Red Onion Café, 555 Main St. inside The Johnson Building, from 5 to 7 p.m. The wine tasting is compliments of Timer’s Beverage Center and there will be delicious appetizers by Chef John, accompanied by live music from Mark Paffrath.

Tickets are $20, and can be obtained from Timer’s, the Red Onion or by calling 634-6303.

Some of the more than 50 silent auction items include: a Real Flame ventless portable fireplace worth $754; a $350 In-Sink-Erator garbage disposal; a football signed by the 2007 Packers players and coaches; a series of tool kits from Snap-On, including a $910 rolling tool chest; Admirals, Waves and golf tickets; art museum tickets; a two-night stay in Door county; a $300 gift certificate for diamonds -- and much, much more!
