Pop artist-philanthropist's work at Northern Lights gallery

Northern Lights gallery has been selected to represent the work of California Pop Artist Sonya Paz, who has created a movement through her exuberant use of color and playful shapes that explode on her canvases.

Sonya’s paintings and vivid images are a reflection of her California roots and her passion and love for life. Her works are inspired by cubist style elements and the Pop Art movement. These influences can be seen in her work where traditional styles compete with wacky pop art imagery.

Over the years her art has been exhibited at a number of venues including ArtExpo International in New York City. She is also represented by prestigious galleries throughout the United States including the Pop Gallery at Walt Disney Resort in Orlando.

Sonya's limited editions watches have been given out to attendees at the academy awards. Her philanthropic work, using proceeds from the sale of her artwork, has raised money for breast cancer research, humane societies, the National Kidney Foundation and many other needy organizations. She recently founded Mommies with Cancer, an organization where a generous portion of the sales will be given to mothers with cancer and the aid and support of their children.

During the introduction of her work, Northern Lights will donate a portion of the proceeds from each sale to breast cancer research. Northern Lights gallery is at 423 Main St.
