Night Wing at Monument on June 27

Night Wing will perform at Music on the Monument on Friday, June 27. The free concert will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Monument Square.

Night Wing is a local trio that specializes in a high energy and vibrant visual presentation.

Ron Weller is featured on keyboard, saxophone and vocals. His arrangements and special techniques of creating a full sound through keyboards and studio tracks have given Night Wing an unmatched product.

Kristi Fenkl is the featured ‘front’ vocalist. A former member of the Case High School Master Singers, Kristi has a vocal styles that covers everything from Janis Joplin to Sade. Her sister, Jenny, adds percussion and additional vocals with a natural Country sound and strong harmonies.

Music at the Monument is celebrating its sixth anniversary of free summer concerts at Monument Square. The outdoor concerts are held every Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. through August. Chairs and umbrellas are provided.

If you don’t want to pack a picnic, order a sandwich or salad from one of Downtown’s many eateries. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors to the Red Onion Cafe located at 555 Main Street (inside the Johnson Building).

Music on the Monument is brought to you by the Downtown Racine Corporation; the concert series is funded in part by a grant from the Racine Arts Council, Racine United Arts Fund and the Wisconsin Arts Board.
