The city's Household Hazardous Waste collection program will be held this month on Saturday, May 17 at 6200 21st St., north of Sam's Club. The program is open to Racine, Sturtevant and Elmwood Park residents. Caledonia and Mount Pleasant's village boards declined to participate in the program, which is designed to prevent harmful materials from seeping into Lake Michigan and our local rivers.
Here's a list of items accepted at the pickup site.
The HHW collection is held the third Saturday of the month, April-October.

We moved to Mt. Pleasant a few years ago. Where and when do MP residents take their hazardous waste? Or do we just flush it down the drain?!!
