Pancake Day and Art Festival Saturday

Bring your appetite as Racine's summer season kicks off Saturday with Pancake Day and the Lakefront Art Festival.

The Kiwanis Club hosts its 54th annual Pancake Day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Festival Hall. Proceeds go to local charities. Tickets are $5 in advance from local banks and Pick 'n Save, and $6 at the door.

Local groups will entertain you while you eat breakfast. The schedule includes:
* Belle City Brassworks, 7:30-8 a.m.
* Walden Jazz Band, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
* Starbuck Jazz Ensemble Band, 10-11:30 a.m.
* John Van Thiel as Elvis, 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
* Singer Alicia Villa, 12:15-1 p.m.
* Academy of Dance, 1-1:30 p.m.
* Penguin Players, 1:30-2 p.m.
* Miss Racine Laura Kuzia, 2-2:30 p.m.
* Aloha Dance Studio Exercise/Hawaiiano, 2:30-3 p.m.
Simultaneously, the Lakefront Art Festival will take place at Festival Park.
